Clearwire Communications, LLC, an operating subsidiary of Clearwire Corporation, today announced the completion of its 4G network infrastructure supplier selections, following the signing of an agreement that adds Huawei to a vendor mix that includes Motorola, Samsung, Cisco, Ciena and DragonWave. Under the new agreement announced today, Huawei will supply WiMAX radio access network (RAN) equipment to facilitate Clearwire’s rollout of super fast mobile Internet service across the United States, called CLEAR™.

Giving figures concerning the adoption of Windows 7 in the pre-release phase, he notes that its use has already eclipsed that of the iPhone . Why he threw that in is unknown, but what is known is why the use of Windows 7 is so high in pre-release . It has nothing to do with how great Windows 7 might be. Think about the state of things at the moment, and what is different about this pre-release period versus any other.

If I take a look at power consumption beyond data centers, my current thinking is that the market will follow this sequence: Mitigation with power consumption Mitigation with energy consumption Carbon footprint awareness Renewable energy Smart grid Among the above, I think the mental transition from #1 to #2 is one of the biggest changes. Power is power no matter how it is generated. However, once you realize that power is the transformation of energy from many sources, the whole picture changes.

Everybody has been surprised about the success of Twitter, but in fact it is really simpel. The old slogan, keep it simple stupid. The problem with email, IM and SMS is that you need hardware, sometimes even specific hardware and what is even more, you need software and sometimes even specific software that is configurated in sometimes a very specific way and that you have to defend and protect with a lot of rules and securitysoftware.
